New sales tax permits: Zaxby's in Temple, Schlotzsky's in Hillsboro and 19 T-Mobile stores
The Comptroller added 183 new sales tax permits for outlets in the 254 area from Oct. 24 to Oct. 31, led by Bell (50) and McLennan (48).
The Texas Comptroller added 183 new sales tax permits for outlets in the 254 area, not counting Williamson and Travis counties, with issue dates from Oct. 24 to Oct. 31. These are permits that weren't on the state's list when 254 Biz pulled it on Oct. 30. Bell led with 50, followed by McLennan (48), Hood (14), Coryell (12) and Navarro (8). Twenty-two were restaurant or food-service outlets.
A new sales tax permit can mean a new business, a new location or a new owner of record. It isn't proof of an opening or a sale.
T-Mobile Financial LLC got permits Oct. 27 for 19 outlets across the 254, including three in Temple, two each in Harker Heights, Killeen, Bellmead and Waco, and one each in Copperas Cove, Fort Cavazos, Lampasas, Granbury, Stephenville, Brownwood, Corsicana and Mineral Wells. 254 Biz has not confirmed what the change means for the stores.
