Three Herzog companies filed layoff notices with the Texas Workforce Commission on Oct. 27 covering 109 workers in Austin, according to the state's 2026 WARN Act listings. All three list a layoff date of Dec. 31.

  • Herzog Transit Services Inc.: 84 workers
  • Herzog Contracting Corp.: 15 workers
  • Herzog Technologies Inc.: 10 workers

The notices are filed under the Capital Area workforce development area in Travis County. The listings don't give a reason for the layoffs, and 254 Biz has not confirmed one.

The federal WARN Act generally requires employers with 100 or more workers to give 60 days' notice before a plant closing or mass layoff. All 2026 notices for counties 254 Biz covers are on the layoff notices page.
